Data protection

Collection, processing, use, and transmission of personal data

Within the scope of the form offered on this website for registering as a member of our society, we collect, process, and use personal data exclusively within the legally permissible framework of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act (DSG).

1. Purpose of data collection

The personal data provided in the form (salutation, title, first name, last name, telephone number, email address, and comments) is collected and processed exclusively for the purpose of processing your registration as a future member of the association, contacting you, and preparing for possible membership.

2. Legal basis for processing

Your data is processed in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures in the context of a possible membership) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent).

3. Recipients of the data

Your data will be processed exclusively internally by authorized persons within our company. It will not be passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to fulfill legal obligations or you have expressly consented to this.

4. Duration of storage

The data transmitted via the form will be stored for as long as is necessary to process your reservation and, if applicable, your membership of the association.

If no membership is established, your data will be deleted after 6 months at the latest, unless there are legal retention obligations or you have consented to longer storage.

5. Security of data transmission

Your data is transmitted via an SSL-encrypted connection to protect it from unauthorized access.

6. Your rights

In accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, you have the right at any time to:

  • Information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion (“right to be forgotten,” Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

7. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place in connection with the data collection via the form.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics 4 (GA4). The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The parent company is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics 4 uses cookies or similar technologies that enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information collected in this way about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server and stored there.

IP anonymization

In GA4, IP addresses are not stored permanently. Your IP address is only used by Google for the duration of the technical transmission and is then anonymized.

Legal basis

Processing is based solely on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which we obtain via a consent banner. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

Data transfer to the USA

Google may also process data in the USA. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), ensuring an adequate level of data protection.

Data security

The security of personal data entrusted to us is of particular concern to us, which is why we take into account

  • the state of the art,
  • the implementation costs, and
  • the nature, scope, context, and purposes of processing, as well as
  • the likelihood and severity of the risk to the rights and freedoms of natural persons

In this sense, the following measures, among others, are taken to protect your data and secure it against loss, destruction, access, modification, and distribution by unauthorized persons:

  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and resilience of the systems and services related to processing;
  • Ensuring the rapid restoration of the availability of personal data in the event of a physical or technical incident;
  • Implementing procedures to regularly review, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of processing.

Please note that we accept no liability for the disclosure of information due to errors in data transmission and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g., hacker attacks) that are not caused by us or attributable to us.
