EANS Basic Endovascular Course for Neurosurgeons

This course will allow young neurosurgeons to achieve basic technical and theoretical skills in endovascular treatment, to improve their understanding of endovascular procedures, possible advantages and pitfalls. The international faculty consists of dual-trained neurosurgeons as well as neuro-interventional specialists.Registration will open 16 February 2026.

Specialised Training in Microneurosurgery

Specialised Training in Microneurosurgery 9–12 June 2026 La Paz University Hospital, Madrid Short description: 4th Edition Experimental Vascular Microsurgery Course in Madrid, focusing on training neurosurgeons in microsurgical techniques using experimental models. Course Overview and Objectives An intensive experimental vascular microsurgery course targeting neurosurgeons and related specialists. The programme combines theoretical updates with hands-on training using ex vivo and in vivo models to develop advanced microsurgical skills with direct clinical relevance. Programme Structure and Content Includes lectures on microsurgical techniques, anatomy, legal and ethical frameworks, and animal welfare. Practical sessions focus on vessel dissection, microanastomosis, and vascular repair using models such as rats and chicken wings. The course covers end-to-end, end-to-side and side-to-side anastomoses, as well as intracranial aneurysm clipping and cerebral bypass techniques. Click HERE for the programme. Faculty and Support Staff International neurosurgeons and experts in neurovascular surgery will serve as faculty. EANS members benefit from a 10% discount (participants should indicate their EANS membership status during registration). The course is limited to 18 participants and registration is via an online form. Venue: Experimental Microsurgery Laboratory, La Paz University Hospital, Madrid. Accreditation and Policies Accreditation has been requested from the relevant medical education bodies. Recording and photography policies apply. The organisers reserve the right to cancel the course if the minimum number of participants is not reached.

Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a very important aspect of medical education and is often not taught specifically in either undergraduate or postgraduate courses. St George’s Hospital has one of the few TBI services in the country, and the TBI team have developed this one-day teaching course to focus on the clinical management of this patient group. A particular focus will be the inter-disciplinary team management and the entire MDT will be presenting during this teaching day. Joint meeting of EANS Pediatric and Cerebrospinal Fluid Sections

We would like to invite you to the very first meeting of the EANS Section of Pediatric Neurosurgery, organized jointly with the EANS CSF Section and in cooperation with K.G. Jebsen Centre for Brain Fluid Research, University of Oslo.In this meeting, we will focus on unsolved challenges in difficult and complex clinical conditions associated with disturbance of cerebrospinal fluid in both adult and pediatric patients. Endo Athens Pre Congress Dissection Course

The Endo Athens Pre Dissection Congress Course will take place in Athens, Greece. The course will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to get hands-on experience and update their knowledge of skull base anatomy through the cadaveric dissection sessions. The course aims for participants to further their knowledge of skull base surgery and for both faculty and participants to fortify their professional relationships and enjoy their stay in Athens. Neurosurgery High Speed Drill Course

This one-day interactive course aims to build understanding and provide hands-on experience of High Speed Drills. The candidates will learn the basic skills and techniques for high-speed drilling.  Delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance and CPD will be sought from the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS). Fee: £100 Audience: Junior Neurosurgery Trainees (ST1-4) or equivalent level fellows, and junior doctors with interest in neurosurgery are targeted.
