EANS Basic Endovascular Course for Neurosurgeons

This course will allow young neurosurgeons to achieve basic technical and theoretical skills in endovascular treatment, to improve their understanding of endovascular procedures, possible advantages and pitfalls. The international faculty consists of dual-trained neurosurgeons as well as neuro-interventional specialists.Registration will open 16 February 2026.

Traumatic Brain Injury

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a very important aspect of medical education and is often not taught specifically in either undergraduate or postgraduate courses. St George’s Hospital has one of the few TBI services in the country, and the TBI team have developed this one-day teaching course to focus on the clinical management of this patient group. A particular focus will be the inter-disciplinary team management and the entire MDT will be presenting during this teaching day. Neurosurgery High Speed Drill Course

This one-day interactive course aims to build understanding and provide hands-on experience of High Speed Drills. The candidates will learn the basic skills and techniques for high-speed drilling.  Delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance and CPD will be sought from the Society of British Neurological Surgeons (SBNS). Fee: £100 Audience: Junior Neurosurgery Trainees (ST1-4) or equivalent level fellows, and junior doctors with interest in neurosurgery are targeted. The Comorbidities of Epilepsy Course

Epilepsy is one of the most common, chronic neurological condition in the UK. The course will offer a practical grounding in the most common comorbidities associated with epilepsy. The course aims to provide a basic grounding in the epidemiology, nature, diagnosis and treatment of common comorbidities in patients with epilepsy. Delegates will be issued with a certificate of attendance and CPD will be sought from the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom. EANS Cranial Step II and Spinal Step II Hands-On Courses

This year, we will combine two of our most in-demand courses into a single week. Delegates will have the opportunity to attend either one of the two courses or both.The Cranial Step II course is primarily designed for neurosurgical residents in the final years of their training and serves as a continuation of the Step I Cranial Course held in Brno. It will focus in greater depth on relevant neurosurgical anatomy, as well as on the planning and execution of advanced neurosurgical procedures, including neuroendoscopy and selected skull base approaches.The Spinal Step II course is also aimed at neurosurgical residents in the final years of training. It will focus on essential neurosurgical anatomy, surgical planning, handling of neurosurgical equipment, and advanced spinal neurosurgical approaches.Both courses are limited to 20 participants each.Registration will open on 24 February 2026.
